Academic Leadership for Women in Engineering (ALWE)
ALWE addresses the need for more women in positions of academic leadership in engineering and fosters professional growth for engineering women within the academy. ALWE 2017 will be held in conjunction with WE17 in Austin, TX, on October 26-28, 2017. SWE will be able to fund up to 40 ASSIST Travel Grants for early-career faculty, post-doctoral professionals, and graduate students to attend. ALWE is supported by the National Science Foundation (EEC-1548200) and by the Henry Luce Foundation, Inc.
ASSIST Travel Grants
Travel grants will cover expenses incurred to attend ALWE up to $2,000. Eligible expenses include airfare, lodging, registration, meals, and other travel costs (e.g., parking). When you apply to attend, you will be asked to indicate which expenses you need grant funds to cover.
